Hanne Tierney
is a performance artist who makes abstract theatre without actors.
Her Salome was recently seen at the Festival of Puppet Theater.
Other recent works include Flatland, Blood Wedding, and The Seagull.
Tierney is founder of the performance and exhibition space Five
Miles in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
Theodora
Skipitares has been creating
works for for more than two decades that combine puppetry, music,
dance, film, and text. Among her many works are: Skysaver, Micropolis,
The Age of Invention, Under the Knife: A History of Medicine. She
has travelled extensively in Asia and recently received a Fulbright
for research in India. Her new work, The Age of the Eye, will open
at La Mama early next year.
